Rob and Julia attended the conference at the University
Club of WA on 21 July and heard some extremely interesting speakers on all aspects of collaboration to strengthen and enhance neurological health, wellbeing and related health and disability care across our community and beyond.
Designed to be thought-provoking and interactive, the program included local, national and international speakers, sharing knowledge and perspectives from clinical, community, government, and academic settings.
Among the speakers was Darshan Ghia, neurologist. Members may remember Dr Ghia who spoke to our group several years ago and has treated many our members. He currently leads the stroke unit at Fiona Stanley hospital, conducts research trials and offers private consultations and provides inpatient services at SJOG Subiaco and Mount Hospitals.
Etta Palumbo, CEO and Prof Charles Watson AM Chairman of the Neurological Council of WA did a wonderful job of hosting this conference by bringing leaders and community members with a neurological interest together under one roof, seeking to build relations and promote understanding.
